Some of our OTT / TV-Connected Device apps have been recently updated and this may have caused your account to get logged out or the app to not recognize your active subscription. The Technical team is aware of this and there is an easy fix.
In most cases simply logging out and then logging back in will allow the app to recognize your active subscription.
For Apple TV you may need to restore your subscription. This option is on the subscribe flow after logging in to your MotorTrend account (or creating your MotorTrend account if you don't have one), located below the option to select your package.
For Roku you may need to clear the app's data & cache. The easiest way to do this is to uninstall the app, and then make sure “Home” is selected from the main menu. From the remote control, press the following buttons consecutively: “Home” 5 times + “Up” + “Rewind” twice + “Fast Forward” twice. It may take a bit for the screen to update and then it will take about 15-30 seconds to clear cache and restart. Once it is back up, reinstall the app and login again.
For Fire TV if you need to clear the app's cache & data, go to Settings and then click on Apps. Select Manage All Applications and find MotorTrend. Click on Clear Cache & Data. Then you can restart the app.
For Xbox (both Xbox One or Xbox 360), the easiest way to clear the cache is to first uninstall the app, then shutdown the Xbox. Once the indicator lights on the front are off, unplug the power from the back of the Xbox for at least 30 seconds. Then plug it back in, reinstall the app, and log in again.
